Precision Cutting

Laser ablated hole in polymer material (~50 microns diameter)

Potomac uses laser ablation processes to produce fine-feature cutting and drilling at scale sizes below those that can be achieved mechanically.  Process speed and quality is optimized by matching the laser wavelength to the substrate material.

Potomac can provide:

• A wide range of laser wavelengths: 193, 248, 266, 355, 532nm, 1064, 10600 nm and Fiber
• Optimized processing for polymers, metals, ceramics, and glass
• Minimum kerf widths and hole diameters range from 2 to 100 microns
• Sub micron tolerances, high aspect ratios
