Micro Welding
Effective welding of miniature parts with high yield requires techniques for holding the parts in contact with a controlled force and applying a highly localized heat source to the weld area. The localized heating associated with a focused laser beam is ideal for welding of miniature metal and plastic components.
Potomac has experience welding stainless steel and NiTi alloys as well as a variety of plastics. Our laser welding systems have been optimized for micromanufacturing through extensive experience with both flat and tubular components.
